Dear Chamber Family,
This time of year brings to mind new challenges, fresh starts, and of course, New Year’s Resolutions. In the coming months, we will be sharing more of the improvements we have made here at the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, but suffice it to say that we have had a lot going on.
As we move forward into 2024. I realize we still have a steep climb ahead of us. To that end, it is important to set some goals. The Casper Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will be conducting strategic planning mid-January to engage the whole board in plotting a direction for the future of our Chamber.
Our first resolution is to think strategically but act tactically. For us that simply means that while we have our goal on a longer-term strategy, our actions have to be tactical and move us towards the desired outcome. You can’t get to Saratoga very easily if you start off going northeast.
Our second resolution will require the leadership of our organization to identify and clarify the mission, vision, and values of the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce. Once that has been accomplished, it will be easier to put into action that business isn’t what we do, it’s who we are.
One constant in my life is the return on investment. ROI is a funny thing. You can have the best benefits, but if we don’t facilitate their use, they probably aren’t seen as valuable. For that reason, we have reached out to you, our members to find out what is important. Our Member Survey will help us craft membership packages and benefit processes that create not perceived value, but real value to your business.
Being the voice of business for Casper will remain at the forefront of our goals for 2024 and beyond. If an issue impacts local business, we need to be discussing it at our Government Affairs Committee. While this committee has been active since I started here in April, it will continue to grow.
More than anything, it is my sincere hope that if we at the Chamber have lost your faith in the past, it is important to me that we identify what went wrong and develop ways to ensure that our members are always treated with the highest regard and experience not only value, but exemplary Western hospitality.
Thank you again for your gracious welcome to our community. I truly look forward to working together. For now, let me wish you a very safe and prosperous New Year.
Best Regards,
Tina
