Pros & Pokes Elite Football Camp Brings Wyoming's Top Talent Together in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. — The Pros & Pokes Elite Football Camp brought together many of Wyoming's top high school football players on Sunday at Natrona County High School for a day of elite instruction, competition, and mentorship.

Sponsored by Vista Toyota and organized by the Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming, the camp provided athletes with a unique opportunity to learn directly from former NFL players, University of Wyoming alumni, current collegiate athletes, and experienced coaches dedicated to developing the next generation of Wyoming football talent.

Featured instructors included former NFL and University of Wyoming legends Chris Cooley and Casey Bramlet; former Wyoming Cowboys Ryan McGuffey and Zack Bolger; current Wyoming quarterbacks Tyler Hughes and Mason Drube; former SDSU Aztec DC Martinez and former Natrona County standout JC Navarro. Throughout the day, instructors worked closely with athletes, sharing their experiences and insights from competing at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.

Athletes participated in position-specific instruction for quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends while also engaging in football IQ sessions, situational football training, and competitive skill-development drills designed to prepare them for the upcoming season.

The camp attracted players from some of Wyoming's premier football programs, including five-time defending 4A State Champion Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Cody, Riverton, Natrona County, Kelly Walsh, and numerous other schools from across the state. The event created a unique environment where athletes from different communities and classifications could learn, compete, and develop alongside one another.

Beyond football instruction, the camp emphasized leadership, character development, and mentorship. Players had the opportunity to interact directly with individuals who have competed at the highest levels of the game, gaining valuable insight into the work ethic, discipline, and commitment required for success both on and off the field.

"The goal of this camp is to provide Wyoming athletes with opportunities to learn from great players and coaches while developing a higher-IQ understanding of the game," said camp organizers. "The turnout, energy, and level of competition throughout the day were exceptional, and it was exciting to see athletes from across the state come together to learn and compete."

The event highlighted several important themes, including the continued growth of football talent throughout Wyoming, the value of mentorship through athletics, and the impact of strong community partnerships. Through the support of Vista Toyota, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming, participating schools, and elite coaches, the camp delivered a high-level developmental experience for student-athletes from across the state.

Organizers would like to thank all athletes, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and families who contributed to the success of the event and helped create an outstanding experience for Wyoming's future football stars.

As Wyoming football continues to grow, events like the Pros & Pokes Elite Football Camp play an important role in providing young athletes access to high-level instruction, mentorship, and opportunities for development. By bringing together accomplished players, coaches, and student-athletes from across the state, the camp continues to strengthen Wyoming's football community while helping prepare the next generation of leaders both on and off the field.
