Día de Los Muertos at the Nic

Día de Los Muertos at the Nic

Celebrate Día de los Muertos at the Nic! Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a holiday celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of November. It originated and is primarily observed in Mexico but also in other places. Join the Nic on November 1st from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

  • We will honor passed love ones through ofrendas (altars) created by Natrona County schools.
  • There will be a Sugar Skull (Calavera) face painting competition, so be sure to come in your best Calavera makeup to win the prize!
  • We will also have a screening of Disney/Pixar’s ‘Coco,’ which will include behind-the-scenes videos of how the animation artists stayed true to this cultural tradition. (Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to watch this movie with us!)
  • Enjoy free food and drinks, including chips and salsa from Casper’s Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant. Additionally, we will have a cash bar!

Thank you so much to our sponsors, Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant, Visit Casper, and the Wyoming Arts Council.
