Back to School Immunization Walk-In Clinics

October 4th is EXCLUSION DAY.

No appointments are necessary at the walk-in clinics. Walk-ins are welcomed on a first-come-first-serve basis during the designated immunization clinic times. We encourage making an appointment for your child over the summer to avoid longer clinic wait times. If you are unable to schedule an immunization appointment earlier in the summer, we encourage you to come to the earlier walk-in clinics for shorter wait periods. Parents/guardians should bring the child’s
immunization record and insurance card (if applicable) with them to walk-in clinics.


2018-2019 streamlined immunization approach:
To avoid crowds and wait periods at the larger, walk-in
immunization clinics, we have implemented some new
processes to improve customer service for back-toschool
immunizations:
• We HIGHLY recommend getting your child an early,
scheduled appointment to expedite your visit.
• If you still plan on coming through a walk-in clinic
on one of the dates listed, sending your child’s
immunization records to us via email ahead of time
will save you time.
• Parents/guardians should bring the child’s
immunization record and insurance card (if
applicable) with them to scheduled appointments
and to walk-in clinics.


Most children qualify for one of the state’s discounted immunization programs (see criteria below). Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program
The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program is a federally-funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay (CDC, 2012). *VFC-eligible children are those who age 18 and under and are eligible for Medicaid, uninsured, American Indian/Alaskan Native, or underinsured. 

Wyoming Vaccinates Important People (WYVIP) Program The WyVIP program was created after the enactment of the Childhood immunization Act (2006) to provide an appropriation for vaccine for children who are not VFC-eligible. Children who are Wyoming residents, 18 years and under, and do not qualify for VFC vaccine are eligible for WyVIP vaccine. Influenza vaccine, Hepatitis A vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, and HPV vaccine are NOT available for the WyVIP program. VFC and WyVIP programs provide vaccine at no cost; however, clinic administration fees may apply in accordance with the Wyoming Department of Health Immunization program guidelines. 

Patients receiving back-to-school vaccinations at Casper-Natrona County Health Department on or before September 22, 2017 will have their name submitted into a drawing for an Apple iPad Mini. Limit one entry per patient.
