1920S Influence On Food Preparation

Ever thought about the history of Baby Ruths, Wonder Bread, Popsicles and Birdseye Frozen foods? Come to the Historic Bishop Home’s program on “1920’s: The Decade that Food Roared”. Geoffrey Hunt will discuss the changes our foods and the influence that refrigeration, gas and electric stoves and other inventions of the 1920s had on the production of food. Geoff Hunt, known as the “Wizard of History” earned his Bachelor of Arts in History at University of Wyoming, his master’s in museum studies at Cooperstown, and Ph.D. in History at Colorado University-Boulder. He is active with other Casper cultural sites, Crimson Dawn and the Nicolaysen Museum The presentation is on April 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Location: Historic Bishop Home, 818 East 2nd Street, Casper, Wyoming.
